Want
to inject a unique style, i mean your style into your living space?
Here are some expert tips to help you create a new look for less from
Creative Designer Mercy Ebute
1. Try rearranging
Turning a space into a comfortable
living area ultimately comes down to choosing the appropriate sized
furniture. Spend time re-arranging your existing furniture, rather than
going out to purchase a new sofa. Live with your new arrangement for a
few days, it might grow on you or you may want to change again. Either
way it will help you make the most of what you have.
2. Be conservatively bold
Avoid the urge to pick seasonal or
trend-driven colours and take some time to think about what colours or
textures you would like to live with. You can always add boldness and
prints to a neutral colour palette using pillows and throws. The beauty
of this is you can change freshen and restyle this space each season.
3. Opt for signature touches
Rather than painting a whole room
in your chosen colour search for smaller objects, soft furnishings and
make these the signature/ artistic pieces within the home. A pair of
decadent salt and pepper shakers on display in the kitchen can make a
great deal of difference.
4. Use colour
Break out the paintbrush on some of
those smaller items - sand back and strip or repaint timber furniture
and re-purpose your existing treasures. Your local op shop will have a
range of vases to bring spray with zesty coloured spray paint. This is a
great way to bring some colour pop into your lounge
5. Preserve history
Family hand-me-downs and personal
pieces (furniture/paintings etc) hold a precious, valuable piece in
time. Try working these objects back and introduce something
contemporary and break the rules with your styling- not all vintage
pieces need to sit together.
6. Declutter
Lofts, warehouses and apartments
lend themselves to minimal clutter and clever improvisation. Imagine
your home or space half it's size, what would you keep? What would you
introduce? Take the time to think about each space/room/corner
individually. Chances are you will be selling something on ebay before
you're buying something new.
7. Embrace your personal style
Remember that decorating your home
is a reflection of your personality, embrace your individual style
before you embrace a trend. It is your home and at the end of the day
you are the one living there, so enjoy it.

Great post! Spacing is one of the important factor for designing a room interior. Interior setup should be comfortable with the spacing. Thanks for sharing....
